Imagine a suspect vehicle at
an airport or shopping mall. You can't
move the vehicle, and time is against you.How do you get a visual appraisal of the situation without risking the
lives of security personnel?Answer:The HazProbe.
With the HazProbe mounted to
WM Robots' KNIGHT or other robust mobile platform, drive the mobile robot to
the suspect vehicle, extend the robot's manipulator arm with the HazProbe to the
target area, and activate the HazProbe. The HazProbe will automatically start inching forward, sensing when to
drill and when it has finished boring through the vehicle's sheet metal. Once drilling is complete, the drill bit
automatically ejects, and the in-shaft Pan & Rotate surveillance camera,
color or near-infrared, with its self-illuminating LED ring extends out of the
shaft and into the vehicle compartment. You can manually control the camera's Pan & Rotate. The
camera image is displayed on your robot's OCU monitor as a re-locatable camera,
and now you can assess your threat and determine future courses of action.Time from the HazProbe started drilling to having
essential surveillance video:MINUTES!
Can you now move the vehicle
to a safe location? Can you safely open
the trunk?Do you have to render safe a
device on-site?
When disabling a device
on-site the existing hole gives your disrupter or chemical detector access to
the device.Need another hole?Just reset the HazProbe and plug in another
drill bit.You are ready to go.SAFELY and QUICKLY!
HazProbe Features and
Benefits.
The HazProbe is compatible with various medium
to heavy-duty robotic platforms including WM Robots' KNIGHT.The HazProbe taps into your robot's
communication and power systems and displays its video on your robot's OCU
display screen.Control of the
HazProbe is done right from your robot's OCU.
The HazProbe's plug-in color or near-infrared
camera modules are on-site interchangeable, as are the drill bits.A window breaking bit is now available to
keep your robot's gripper free for other use like carrying a mineral water
bottle to the site on the same trip.
The HazProbe's self illuminating Pan &
Rotate camera is great for inspecting tight areas, under vehicles, around
corners, above ceilings, through windows, under seats, or a depth
perception side view of the robot's gripper.Use it even if you don't need to drill
anything!
The HazProbe minimizes disruption and economic
impact of an incident as well as liability costs.
